• First Student Bus Availability on Regular School Days

  • Trips must take place between 9:30 AM and 1:30 PM.

  • Buses cannot pick up before 9:30 AM.

  • Buses must return to the school by 1:30 PM.

  • Buses are not available again until after 6:00 PM (to accommodate school-to-home and ELT times).

• Darien Lake/Six Flags Trips

  • These trips often use split-trip transportation.

  • The bus drops students off, leaves, and returns at approximately 6:00 PM for pickup.

• Out-of-State Travel

  • All short-term AND long-term out-of-state trips require Superintendent approval.

• Walking Field Trips

  • Must follow the short-term field trip approval process.

  • Examples include:

    • Walkathons

    • Flag Day parades

    • PE class walks

• Explore Buses

  • Explore buses are no longer available.

  • Schools are responsible for transportation costs.

  • The district only provides transportation for district-sponsored field trips.

• Transportation Availability

  • First Student (yellow bus) availability is limited.

  • Fewer drivers are typically available on Fridays.

  • Transportation requests are filled first come, first served.
