Policy Board

Our mission is simple: provide high-quality professional learning opportunities for educators to enrich their teaching practice and improve student learning and achievement.

To accomplish our goals, we:

  • Provide professional learning to all Buffalo teachers, whether private or public.

  • Recognize that professional growth is integral to teachers’ work by providing professional learning for preservice teachers, new teachers, and veteran teachers

  • Maximize professional learning in the Next Generation Learning Standards and Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics (STEAM)

  • Promote communities of learners and encourage teacher leadership roles

  • Uphold our promise to students by supporting Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and Culturally Responsive-Sustaining Education (CRSE) and provide strategies and resources to meet the needs of ALL learners.

  • Support teachers through the implementation of professional learning groups and formal and informal support sessions.

  • Provide teachers with needed materials and supplies at the Teacher Center Workroom.
