Buffalo Public Schools students proudly represented their district, schools, and innovative learning programs at the New York State School Boards Association (NYSSBA) Annual Convention and Education Expo in Buffalo. The student showcase provided students the opportunity to share their work, demonstrate their skills, and highlight the impact of technology, creativity, and hands-on learning to school board members, superintendents, and educational leaders from across New York State.
Students representing four district programs showcased the power of student-driven innovation. DeTECHtives students from School 206 highlighted their problem-solving and design-thinking skills. Girls Who Game (GWG) participants from School 76, alongside Girls Who Game alumnae from School 304, celebrated how gaming, collaboration, and technology can engage and empower girls. Student Technology Leadership Program (STLP) participants from Schools 156, 198, and 304 demonstrated the leadership and technical skills they develop through meaningful, hands-on technology experiences. Students from the STLP Cinematography Studies Pathway, representing Schools 212, 304, and 355, showcased the creativity and storytelling skills they develop through filmmaking and digital media production.
Through their participation, these students served as ambassadors for Buffalo Public Schools, showing how district programs give students opportunities to build real-world skills, explore their interests, collaborate with peers, and share their talents with a broader educational community.
