TEACHERS OF TOMORROW 2025-2026 GRANT APPLICATIONS
Teachers may apply for only one of the awards below in 2025-26. Follow the links for specific eligibility requirements and the grant application portal.
$3,400 annual award for up to 4 years for new teachers in shortage areas - over 95% of awardees choose this award.
$700-$2,100 annually for up to 2 years for shortage area teachers with Initial/Provisional certification who have never received any Professional/Permanent certification.
$10,000 annual award for up to 3 years for Board Certified teachers working in specific high-need schools.
$10,000 annual educational expense reimbursement for up to 2 years for Science, Math, Bilingual, and ENL teachers working in specific high-need schools who have held Transitional certification.
GENERAL TEACHERS OF TOMORROW ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS - AN APPLICANT MUST...
Have been a full-time teacher paid according to BTF salary schedules since 9/30/25 or earlier (later hires are ineligible until 2026-27)
Work continually throughout the 2025-26 school year
Hold valid NYS Teacher certification in the area taught throughout the 2025-26 school year
If applicable, have a current APPR rating of Effective or Highly Effective, or the equivalent
Meet further eligibility requirements specific to the grant program selected
Not already have a 2025-26 application to a Teachers of Tomorrow program uploaded in the application portal.
The portal will require that you delete any prior 2025-26 application in order to submit a new one.

March 31, 2026 at 4:00 P.M.
