-- Please join the Office of Culturally and Linguistically Responsive Initiatives, scholars, teachers, and parents, and administrators  for the historic launch of the My Sister's Keeper  program in the Buffalo Public Schools. Embracing the African philosophy of Ubuntu, meaning “I am because we are”, the My Sister's Keeper youth development and leadership program will focus on building community through academic excellence, sisterhood, female empowerment, mentoring, and culturally responsive instructional practices.  One hundred and twenty female scholars from across the district in grades 6 & 7 will attend the summer launch program at Olmsted Highschool  from July 24-August 5th, 2023.

We are happy to announce that on July 28th, 2023, at 10:00 AM the youngest Black woman to graduate from law school in the United States,  Haley Taylor Schlitz, will serve as keynote speaker for the My Sister's Keeper Launch Program. We look forward to this powerful engagement and invite you to join us.
