🏈✨ A HISTORIC START FOR BPS FOOTBALL ✨🏈

The Buffalo Public Schools Modified Football Team officially kicked off its inaugural season today — and did so in dominant fashion with a 38–0 victory over Lancaster at the legendary Robert E. Rich Sr. All High Stadium! 🔥💪

This is more than a win. It’s a milestone that reflects the dedication of our student-athletes, coaches, families, and supporters across the city. The entire Buffalo community is proud of these young athletes for making history on the field and representing our schools with pride. 💙💛

We were also honored by a special surprise visit from our new Superintendent, Dr. Pascal Mubenga, who joined us in celebrating this unforgettable moment for Buffalo Athletics. 🙌

This is just the beginning — the future is bright for BPS Football! 🌟

For the first time ever, we’ve got a district-wide BPS Girls Varsity Soccer Team coming together—and the turnout is incredible. Over 40 student-athletes from Lafayette, McKinley, Performing Arts, I-Prep, Leonardo da Vinci, Bennett, Olmsted, and City Honors laced up their cleats and hit the field

Yesterday was day one on the brand new turf at Johnnie B. Wiley Stadium and the energy was ELECTRIC!

Our newly formed BPS District-Wide Modified Football Team hit the field today at Waterfront Park, and the energy was ELECTRIC. Student-athletes from schools across the district laced up their cleats, strapped on their helmets, and showed up ready to put in the work.
From warm-ups to drills, the passion and teamwork were on full display. This team is about more than football—it’s about pride, opportunity, and bringing our BPS community together.
Shoutout to all the athletes, coaches, and families who are helping kick off this exciting new chapter. The future is bright, and we can’t wait to see what this squad accomplishes this season.

Fall Sports Are Back!
