Buffalo Public Schools families are invited to kick off the new school year at the Back-to-School Backpack Giveaway on Tuesday, September 1, from Noon to 3:00 p.m. at the Johnnie B. Wiley Sports Pavilion, 1100 Jefferson Ave., Buffalo.
Hosted by Buffalo Public Schools Interim Superintendent Dr. Ebony Prophet-Bullock, Ferry District Board of Education Member Stephon Wright, and New York State Senator April Baskin, this free community event will provide 400+ free backpacks while supplies last.
Families can also enjoy free food, live entertainment and activities, and connect with a variety of community resources to help students start the school year prepared for success.
