Our Lafayette Varsity Boys Soccer team battled with heart, grit, and determination in yesterday’s NYSPHSAA State Championship. Although we came up short on the scoreboard, our student-athletes gained an incredible experience competing at such a high level.

This morning, our JROTC cadets from Hutch Tech and South Park High School; Community School braved the snow to honor our nation’s heroes at Forest Lawn. Alongside The Erie County American Legion, students placed flags on the graves of veterans in the Field of Valor® and the American Legion section — a meaningful tribute to the brave men and women who have served our country.





Congratulations to McKinley High School and Bennett High School! Both teams are advancing to the big stage at Highmark Stadium for the Section VI Class A and Class AA Finals—McKinley on Thursday, November 13, and Bennett on Friday, November 14. Our athletes are showing incredible drive, talent, and true Buffalo Public Schools pride!


Lafayette High School is the Class B Far West Regional Champion! After a thrilling 2–1 victory over Hornell, the Boys Soccer team is headed to the New York State Final Four next weekend in Middletown, NY. What a season of heart, hustle, and championship spirit—on to the Final Four!

The NFTA notified the Buffalo Public Schools due to a mechanical issue that there will be no aboveground rail service on Monday, October 20, 2025, between Allen Medical Station and Canalside Station. Trains will stop and unload at the Allen Medical Campus station and will take passengers to all above-ground stops. Shuttles will also stop at all aboveground stations to take students heading north to load on trains at the Allen Medical Campus station. Bus shuttles will continue to run approximately every 20 minutes to assist. If there are service issues, please call NFTA customer care at 716-855-7211.
