The Buffalo Public Schools is happy to share that all BPS scheduled activities for Saturday, December 14th will take place. This includes Saturday Academies-Farmer's Markets, Criteria School Testing, Athletics, My Brother's Keeper, and Professional Development events. Staff scheduled to work at these events should report as normal. Thank you.
UPDATE: Based on the current conditions, the Buffalo Public Schools has reevaluated its status and will be closed on Friday, December 13, 2024. All students and staff are to stay home. The snow fall has continued more intensely than predicted south of William Street resulting in a continued travel advisory in that part of Buffalo and the declaration of a City State of Emergency. Many of our staff in surrounding areas are also facing snow totals that prevent their ability to report. Continue to stay safe and warm. If you or someone you know is in need of support, call 211 for food needs and emergency shelter information or call 988 for mental health resources.
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Buffalo Public Schools will be open tomorrow, Friday, December 13, 2024. The district also advises students to dress warmly and cautions them against walking in the street.

The Buffalo Schools has been notified by the NFTA that the temporary shuttles downtown will not operate beginning November 25. Starting Monday, November 25, downtown rail service will resume with single tracking between Fountain Plaza and Canalside Stations on the inbound (Canalside) track. Riders will be asked to transfer at Church Station. Passengers with mobility devices will need to board the first rail car. Starting Monday, December 2, rail service will operate on both tracks.
