Buffalo Public Schools wishes our students, families, and staff a joyful and colorful Holi! Let’s celebrate the festival of colors, happiness, and togetherness.
Shoutout to the incredible Drumline from William J. Grabiarz School of Excellence for their outstanding bucket drumming showcase at Lowe’s on Transit Rd. Kudos to Principal Kristin Mazur as well as BTF President Rich Nigro, teachers Mr. Brancato, Mr. Cunningham, and audience members for briefly joining the Drumline and strongly supporting our talented scholars. Community engagement and student excellence on full display!

March is Women’s History Month. BPS proudly celebrates the achievements, leadership, and impact of women in our schools and community — past and present.

In honor of Black History Month, PS 61 Arthur O. Eve School of Distinction proudly presented Motown Magic, a celebration of the legendary sounds of Motown. The school’s exceptional music program was on full display, showcasing the dedication, talent, and hard work of our students. Thank you to our families for your continued support, our staff for putting together such a fantastic event, and to our students — you absolutely rocked the stage!

70 staff members from The International School 45 proudly became part of the Nation of Lifesavers. ❤️

Thank you, Coach Bryant 🏀! We recognized a truly special moment at East High School as Coach Starling Bryant coached his final game as the boys basketball head coach. Coach Bryant's impact goes far beyond wins and losses. He has been a mentor, leader, and role model- shaping the lives of young people through discipline, accountability, and pride in representing East High School.

Happy Groundhog Day! A tradition in folklore where a groundhog, specifically Punxsutawney Phil, emerges from his burrow to "predict" the weather. If he sees his shadow, six more weeks of winter are predicted; if not, an early spring is expected.

World Hijab Day, observed on February 1st, raises awareness about the hijab and promotes religious tolerance. It encourages women of all backgrounds to wear a hijab for a day to foster understanding and combat stereotypes.

Have a great weekend and stay warm!
