Houghton Academy gives K–6 students a hands-on opportunity to shop for family gifts while building literacy and financial skills through list-making, math connections, and thoughtful decision-making. This experience supports the school’s Pathway to Proficiency and reflects Houghton Academy’s commitment to student growth and learning.

PS 61 celebrated the season with Winter Around the World, a multicultural holiday concert featuring selected 3rd and 4th grade chorus students, a violin orchestra, and a dance performance. A wonderful showcase of talent, culture, and creativity—great job to our students and staff!

Talented BPS students filled the Lobby with festive holiday music, spreading cheer to everyone who stopped by. They’ll be back for more holiday performances: A special thank you to Ms. Anne Landey and the BPS Music Department for making today’s performance so magical!
